Straight Egyptian Arabian horses, bred on a small scale with long-term continuity, calm temperament, and correct handling at the centre of the programme.
MH Arabians is a focused Straight Egyptian Arabian horse stud in Sussex. The programme is intentionally small, prioritising quality, sound development, and a consistent handling culture over volume.
The stud’s history spans decades of continuity. Horses are raised with clear boundaries and fair, consistent handling from an early age — producing a calm, people-oriented temperament.
Calm temperament is not an accident. It is developed deliberately through early handling, consistency, and fairness. Our horses are expected to be straightforward around people and confident in new situations — a clear contrast to common stereotypes.
This approach supports long-term development: correct responses, reduced stress, and a willing partnership.
Our stud is built around three pivotal horses — a foundation mare, a foundation stallion, and our current main sire. The rest of the herd traces back to this lineage.
A small selection to show how we present each horse. Full pages can include additional images, video, and pedigree context.
The stud is rooted in Josephine’s long-term commitment to Straight Egyptian bloodlines, built over more than four decades of consistent breeding decisions and a clear sense of type.
Today, MH Arabians continues that continuity with a focused, small-scale programme where temperament, correct early handling, and transparent pedigree presentation are treated as non-negotiable standards.
Both partners are professional opera singers, bringing a shared understanding of discipline, patience, and long-term development to the stud.
